The customer service at SentrySafe/Masterlock is incredible. I had a small issue with my safe, and they made the situation right. I absolutely recommend this product, or another from the Masterlock/SentrySafe product line, because of their response to my issue alone.The safe is alright. It’s nothing to write home about, and that is to be expected at under $100. It is the exact width of a “normal” manila folder, and it would be nice if it was just *slightly* wider. I would like if the lid had some sort of resistance to prevent it from being slammed. I don’t have any major issues with it and I don’t feel as if I’m going to break anything unless there is a manufacturing defect or I mishandle it.The handle does flex a little if you try to open the safe while it is locked, but it fine with normal use. The key isn’t reinforced and will bend if you push on it the wrong way. The gasket might fall off and need to be put back into position before shutting the lid again.Those issues don’t worry me now that I’ve dealt with their customer service department. I contacted them for one of the issues I listed above and they fixed the problem quickly and completely. Fantastic customer support.Fantastic customer support.

Check the weight before you order
I was pleased with the quality of the product however due to the weight, at my age it was too heavy for me to use so I returned it. Otherwise I would have been happy to keep it.

Build quality on this is very nice. Very sturdy and feels like it can take a beating. Perfect for storing sensitive files, and is quite spacious.Knocking a star off since all of their advertising/promotional pictures for this product include the hanging file dividers, however those are not included, and only mentioned in a tiny section of the product description. Would be nice for them to include, or also provide imaging of the safe without them

Great product for keeping valuables safe
This product is great for keeping your valuables safe. It has a generous storage capacity, easily being able to store full sized paper documents in addition to any other valuables you need stored. It has a sturdy build that keeps it firmly in place without sliding around. The safe provides peace of mind that my valuables will stay protected. The locking clasp can be a bit stuck/difficult to open at first, but after a few uses it isn’t an issue.

I’ve used one of these for years and decided to buy one for my son. It is nice and sturdy and offers the ability to hang files to keep important documents. But you can also include other items in the safe such as special books, videos, photos, etc.

Okay this is kind of my fault because I probably should’ve done the measurements on this but when you look at one of the photos it looks like this box except hanging files. Maybe it does but they must be very small hanging files because it does not accept A4 files which is the majority of the paperwork that we all have so yes this is gonna be okay for passports currency and jewelry etc. But no if you want to store photocopies of all your important documents it is completely useless so Buyer Beware Other than that it’s well-made looks nice etc and the delivery was incredibly fast.

Is as i expected. Dont expect a wondrous locking mechanism. This is purely a detterent type of product. It is more designed for waterproofing and fireproofing. It locks and is heavy.
