    Branch Ergonomic Chair Pro-great purchase!
I bought this chair a couple weeks ago and have been very pleased so far. My husband assembled it so I can’t comment as to how easy it was, except that it was all ready and waiting for me when I got home the first day after delivery :). This was my first “ergonomic chair” after a couple old office supply store specials. (I also bought a footrest that’s helping too.) I’m in my late 40s and have noticed more back and neck soreness over time, especially since I do a lot of desk work in my current job. I wanted a chair with adjustable seat depth and lumbar support that’s adjustable heightwise and in the amount of lumbar support, which this chair does. There’s a lot of adjustability overall which is a plus–I’ve adjusted the armchair height and width too, and the instructions are helpful in pointing out the different adjustment points. With my neck soreness I also bought the headrest even though I’ve tried other chairs with headrests and have not liked them. This one has some flex and also height adjustability, so it’s much less bothersome and my neck soreness has decreased. I went with the base seat material b/c I knew I didn’t want leather, and it’s very comfortable. The description is ‘mesh’, but it’s not uncomfortable or scratchy to sit on. The seat is very comfortable, and I’m not constantly readjusting my position as I was in my previous cheapo chairs. Speaking of price, this chair is also a couple hundred bucks less than other erogonomic chairs I was looking at, and I believe I made a great choice!

    Best chair I ever bought
Best chair I ever purchased for a mail order (considering a sight unseen and inspection) This supersedes any of my previous chairs Seating area is most comfortable and lumbar support is out of this world, since I suffer from arthritis in my spine. Easy to set up, once you figure it all out. Now I just cannot wait to get on my computer.

Excellent for a less expensive chair
I bought this to replace an executive-style chair I’ve had for years that finally gave up the ghost. It was probably the most comfortable chair of any kind I’ve ever owned, but when it died—the lumbar adjustment quit working and one of the arm piece threads got stripped—I decided to replace it with something less massive. I couldn’t afford a Herman Miller or Steelcase chair, even used, and this one got good reviews somewhere or other so I thought I’d try it out. I’ve had it about three weeks now and I’m pretty satisfied. The chair is easy to assemble. I did need help setting the seat onto the base after I got the adjustment mechanism attached to the seat bottom because it is *heavy*, but the instructions suggested as much and everything else was easy. The whole process took about 45 minutes from unboxing it to finishing the assembly. The chair is thoroughly adjustable, with multiple settings for the armrests, seat height, seat angle—I have it tilted pretty far forward to keep pressure off my thighs—seat back angle, and lumbar support. I spent about 15 minutes getting all that stuff set up to suit me, and haven’t had to change it since. The only thing I don’t like about any of the settings is that once you lock in the seat back angle, it’s locked in both directions. It won’t tilt forward beyond where you want it, but it won’t tilt any further back either. Sometimes I like to lean all the way back when I’m not actively typing or using the editing pen, and I can’t do that with the back locked. So I just left it unlocked, which means that sometimes it’s more vertical than I’d prefer. But i’s not a major hassle. The deceased chair was leather. I’m appreciating the mesh back and fabric seat because I live in a subtropical climate and the leather could get sticky. The chair is also a lot lighter and easier to move around because it’s narrower, which is good for the tight space I work in.I thought I would miss the cushioning on the seat, which was really good on the old chair, like a plush memory foam mattress, but so far I don’t. I do miss it on the arm rests, which have some cushioning but not to the same extent. They’re still comfortable and I can work long hours with them, but I couldn’t call them luxurious.I tried out a few different Steelcase and Herman Miller chairs even though I knew I couldn’t spend that kind of money. This chair most closely resembles the HM Aeron model of the ones I tried. I’m finding it as comfortable as any of them, and i think the price difference is probably due to materials and the length of the warranty. And with regard to the warranty: Herman Miller and Steelcase both have authorized dealers in my town, but Branch does not. If something goes wrong, I’d have to pack the chair up and ship it off to the mainland. The reason I bought the chair on Amazon instead of direct from the manufacturer is that they only ship to the continental U.S., which is where I am not. That’s a problem which won’t apply to most U.S. Amazon users, but I’d still suggest buying it from the manufacturer if you can. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good chair and I’m able to spend long hours working in it comfortably. I’m happy.

    Versatile with Surprises!
This chair is exactly what my office needed. It was easy to assemble and built well. The 14 adjustment points come in handy for getting my ergonomic positioning correct, and the wheels are smooth. The seat if very comfortable and does a great job muffling my farts! The Pro is worth the additional cost, fantastic job with this Branch!!

  5. Paul Banks

    Easily worth the cost
This is a high quality chair and you can really feel it when you sit in it and assemble it. The pieces all have a weight and sturdiness to them. So many adjustable settings. Well worth the money.

    pathetic seat cushion
I bought a branch chair a few years ago and loved it. So I thought I would buy another for one of my rooms in my house.Quality has gone down. This is the second day having it and the seat cushion is pathetic. I can feel the seat it is attached to. Probably used some sort of cheap foam. Also attaching the base to the chair was stupid, as you cant get the tooling perpendicular to the screw to base plane. And I could not tighten one of them down because the screw grip striped. This chair is not worth the price and I am extremely disappointed.

  7. Daniel Poe

    Great chair.
High quality comfortable chair. I appreciate the multiple adjustments.

  8. Suzette Bedley

    Comfortable and ergonomic
Beautiful chair for my husband. He loves it so many settings to customize to his fit. The mesh back allows his back to breathe, and the seat supports his weight nicely.
