Tendril planter is perfect and looks amazing!
The Tendril planter is perfect! First, it is so beautiful and makes my plant really shine. Second, it makes keeping up with watering so much easier. I travel a lot for my job, so it’s really nice to know that whenever I come home, my Tendril is keeping my plant healthy and happy. It looks great in my home, but I understand why this would also be perfect for a city apartment or an office. It was so easy to unbox and set up. Highly recommend!

Works great!
I ordered the Tendril Planter SWAP+ System | Indoor Ceramic Planter (10″), Self-Watering & Air-Pruning, with Tools & Re-Potting Mat because I sometimes forget to water my plants. This sounded like a solution to my problem. The planter has some good weight to it and is sturdy. It is beautifully made with a more modern look to it. It looks & feels like high quality. The glaze is flawless and the color is versatile with many decorating schemes. Since it is a 10″ pot, it’s perfect for a small to medium sized plant. It was simple to assemble and includes just about everything that you’ll need to do the job. I was, however, a little irritated that they don’t include very much soil in the box. I assumed that there would surely be enough to re-pot a plant but there isn’t. So make sure you buy some potting soil before you begin the re-potting process. My plant seems to be happy in its new pot & is doing well. The pot is working great & is providing just the right amount of water to keep the plant thriving. It’s really pretty awesome. They are offering a coupon right now that makes the pot a bit more affordable. But even at $59.99 it is overpriced. The planter is high quality, very beautiful & works good but is still just a ceramic pot.

Outstanding indoor growing system for optimal plant health and beauty.
I had a struggling Peace Lily that was given as a gift and had always dried out and needed water. I saw this planter system and looked at the components and knew it would create a positive growing environment for the Peace Lily.I use grow bags in the summer and my vegetable plants always did well as long as they were watered because they would never get root-bound because the grow bags air-prune the roots. With the Tendril system the plant is planted in a fabric liner (small grow bag) and have access to a integrated water reservoir to allow the roots to have steady supply of water for easier upkeep and the plants never get root-bound.The packaging of the Tendril system was top-notch. The artwork on the internal cardboard was something I never seen before and knew this was a special growing system when I opened the box and received an undamaged ceramic planter.I planted my small Peace Lily plant in the Tendril system and filled the water reservoir to the specified level and the total system weighed 21 pounds. It’s resting on an oak antique sofa table to it easily supports the weight. If you plant a larger plant in the planter, just be aware of the weight but its certainly a sturdy pot.One thing I noticed is the 3 coir soil discs that are supplied didn’t produce enough soil to fill the fabric liner. I added some leftover coco coir and added some Happy Frog potting soil just to top it off along with perlite for added drainage and its secured the new Lily in the fabric grow liner. After a few weeks, I noticed the plant was looking better than it has been in the past. Upright leaves and no new dry leaves and it seems happy in the new system and able to cope with my dry indoor environment.Overall, I like the Tendril system and it’s a well thought out growing system that looks great and takes the guess work out of under-watering your indoor plant. As of this review on 12/7/2025, it’s on sale for $59 and totally worth it. If you price out a 10″ ceramic pot on Amazon or at a garden store its $40-50 anyway. So I feel it’s worth it and I’m purchasing an additional Tendril system for my 15 year old Aglaonema plant that would certainly benefit from this planter.

Premium planter!
Let me warn you I am a cheapskate so this seems like a luxury purchase to me. If you feel like splurging and spoiling your plants then this is the ultimate planter. First off it super heavy and sleek looking. I was confused as to what the package was just due to the weight of it! It’s even heavier with water in it. The packaging is so neat and well thought out, I’ve ever seen anything like it. The box steps you through unpacking it and assembling it with cool artwork as you unfold the box. It even doubles as a mat to repot whatever sad plant is moving into this fancy new home. And has foldable trowels so you don’t get dirty nails. I decide to replant my avocado tree in here. If anything I severely underwater my plants so I’m hoping it’ll flourish with the watering system. It’s a reservoir on the bottom with a wick of sorts that hangs down into the water. Your upper pot has a fabric bag with soil pucks it comes with that you expand. I found I needed to add about double the amount of soil in came with. The upper pot will sink down as the water is absorbed, there’s a foam insert that floats, so you know when to add more water. The pot doesn’t sit down in the water either because there’s a raised center portion because you don’t want the roots super soggy. This is a cool pot and I’m excited to see how it performs in my very dry climate. I’d recommend you plant something in it that enjoys pretty moist soil rather than plants that enjoy being on the drier side or drying out completely before watering again, so no cactus, or succulents likely.
