Foam too soft for me, Pillowtop EXCELLENT!
My mattress is still in good shape, but I was starting to have issues with pressure points, so after reading lots of reviews I bought the “4 Inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper” on Amazon.There are three versions to choose from:Plush: 3 inch memory foam, 1 inch of quilted topperEnhanced: 2 inch memory foam, 2 inch quilted topperCooling Comfort: 2 inch memory foam, 2 inch cool-to-touch topperI opted for Enhanced version.Product shipped quickly and was easy to set up. Just open the seal, spread out the foam on the center of the bed, come back in a few hours and it’s almost all the way expanded to the edges of the mattress. Mine did not have any stains or weird smell as some reviews have mentioned.I really wanted my first night sleeping to be a full comfort experience, but it wasn’t. I have a history of issues with my cervical spine and situations like a too-soft bed can aggravate my condition. Unfortunately, this was the case for me with this product. First laying down, it was super comfortable. The gel pad has a nice conform to the body and spring-back. But when I would try to sleep, my head would be so much higher than my body, it put strain on my neck and was not only uncomfortable it would start to pinch nerves in my neck causing arm pain and numbness. This occurred with or without using a pillow. (Note: I know this is a ME problem and not a mattress problem.)After a couple of nights I decided to take off the gel pad and just use the 2 inch pillowtop. MAGIC! I now had exactly what I needed, some plush topping of my existing mattress and all pressure points eliminated. The loft in the pillowtop is perfect for me. I’ve been sleeping on it for 2 months now and it’s still just as fluffy as when I first took it out of the box. When I change the sheets, it puffs right back up.I contacted the company to find out if they sell the pillowtop by itself, should I want another one, but it’s not sold separately. The company answered my query within minutes and I was appreciative of the customer service. Even though the gel pad didn’t work for me, I am very happy with the quality of the product and would recommend to someone who is in the market for a mattress topper.(I gave the gel mattress to a relative who always wanted to try one)EDIT: I’ve now been sleeping on this for over a year and it’s still performing the same. It stays fluffy and comfortable while reducing pressure points.

Luxury and comfort
Was going to buy a new mattress to replace my old one but I did not have the money for that so I decided to buy a topper.after so many hours of searching I finally decided to buy this and am soo happy I did. This set is so comfortable . Feels like sleeping on the clouds. No more back aches.

Very, very comfortable. I use this in addition to a 14” hybrid mattress. The experience has been life changing. When I say hunty, I don’t want to get out my bed because it be hugging me. Not a sinking hug, but just comforting. Maybe it’s the combination of the two, but I just love it. When I tell you I haven’t had a hip or back pain since day one. The best sleep in a long time. I am 5’11” 220lbs so I am not a small girl, but I’m a happy, well rested one. It’s very thick, 4”. It came with a top cover large enough to fit the 18” in total plus more if needed. It firm but soft and comforting at the same time. Very good quality for what I paid. There is no zippers on the one I purchased, just the topper itself and a thick cover layer. The topper is cooling. I sleep hot and have not waken up sweating since I’ve been sleeping on it. It’s very new so I will come back in a few months with an update but so far so good. This topper is amazing. Get you one babes.

I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it makes my bed.
Admittedly I was very skeptical when I opened the foam and laid it on my living room floor to fully expand. It seemed far too squishy to offer the support and cushion I was looking for. Once I got it on our firm mattress though, with the pillow top – Wow. Just wow. It offers just the right amount of support and softness. I can’t say much about the cooling, me and my husband both still wake up warm sometimes but I think that has more to do with our polyester fill comforter than anything.. so time to invest in a down, wool or cotton one.I highly recommend this for anyone with shoulder pain as a side sleeper. It hasn’t fully fixed the problem, but my mattress is no longer contributing to my pain.

Just what we were looking for!HOWEVER!…There was absolutely no indication in the description that this was US sizing – not UK. SO, the item was MASSIVELY too big!So – lost a star for incorrect description and another 2 for the absolute ball-ache having to repack the b*st*rd thing to send it back for an error that wasn’t ours!
