Gorgeous Adirondack Chairs – Made in The USA
Purchased these for my husband’s birthday. My daughter & I put them together. First, the instruction video is extremely helpful. I was a little worried when I took them out of the boxes, because at first I thought the paint wasn’t perfect on them. I admit, I have a little OCD, so I decided to go with it & I’m glad I didn’t because the little imperfections make it look like real wood. Now, back to the assembly, the pieces are a good weight, and it’s helpful if you have another person to assemble them with, because you do have to flip them over to finish assembly. We had a little trouble with the first chair, because one of the predrilled holes wasn’t deep enough. It made it a little difficult to drill in the screw, but it was fine. Follow the directions & play the video while assembling. The second chair’s assembly went off without a hitch! We had it together in probably less than 30 minutes. We love that the chairs fold up – which is one of the reasons we purchased them. The other reason, is they are made in The USA. Doesn’t get much better than that! They are extremely sturdy and I love the size of the chair. The chairs are comfortable and they do adjust. Just remember don’t try to adjust the chairs while you are sitting in them. I am so happy with these chairs & I will update as durability after a season or two! If you’re on the fence, get off & get into one of these gorgeous chairs!

Seems Like a Quality Product, Looks Nice: Excellent customer service
Shipping container and packaging were top notch. Bolts, screws and washers (all stainless steel and nylon for washers) in heavy zip lock bag. Written instructions for assembly were very clear. An Allen wrench and a star drive bit were included, nice touch. Assembly time was about 30 minutes. The chair has a nice simulated wood grain. The chair seems sturdy and looks like it should last. I got tired of refinishing and repairing this chair’s wooden predecessors. The chair is comfortable if a bit low to the ground. The back is adjustable to three positions. Hopefully this plastic will hold up in the Florida sun and tropical showers. Time will tell.Update, 2022: My original review was done in 2016. It is now six years later and the chair just suffered its first problem, a slat broke. I assumed that, since the chair was out of warranty, I would need to pay for a replacement slat. I contacted customer service and was instructed to email a copy of my original order (screenshot of Amazon order page) and a picture of the broken slat to help identify the replacement needed. They promised a replacement would be shipped tomorrow.

    Solid, Not Quite “Real” Wood
First I will say that the construction is quite solid, and it is pretty easy to assemble. I read at least one review which suggested the assembly was complicated or time-consuming – that couldn’t be further from the truth. The chair took maybe 15 minutes to assemble and there are very few parts involved. It goes quicker with an electric screw driver, provided it accepts the included bit. The hex wrench (also included) slows things down a bit so if you have a hex bit that should speed things up even more. The instructions are relatively clear, and there was only one point at which I thought “which piece do they mean?” but it was obvious enough that I didn’t take to long to figure it out.The chair is pretty comfortable, and adjusts for three different seating positions. The mechanism that allows for this adjustment is somewhat stiff, and I imagine I’ll just be leaving it in the middle position most of the time. The fact that it folds is nice because it means it’s easy to throw in the shed when the weather gets bad, which should extend the life of the chair significanlty. One problem I had with the construction though was that the tolerance was a little bit off – adjusting the chair up or down did cause one part of the chair-back to come in to contact with the chair-seat, and the friction caused a small mark in the chair side. It’s not noticable because it’s on the back, so it’s a minor cosmetic problem, but it did suggest that the fit was a little too close between these two pieces, and that should be corrected in the design. Now, on to the most important point; the quality of the material. The synthetic wood is a quality plastic. It is dense, heavy and has a good texture to it. Most of the surfaces one would touch are smooth, though there are some pointy bits on some of the pieces (such as the top of the chair-back slats) that I wouldn’t describe as “sharp” but it would be nice to have them sanded. I think that should be possible with this material, and plan to try that the next time the weather gets a little nicer. While the quality of the plastic is good, it’s not really wood-like. The “grain” pattern is not very realistic in person, and the feel of it is probably best described as smooth or waxy. I think it would have been better in more of a matte finish instead. That said I don’t regret buying this product – the cost is pretty high, but compared to the hassle of having to purchase (and assemble) probably four or five cedar chars over what is expected to be the life of this chair, it’s overall a money and time saver.Overall this is a four star chair – I’m generally not happy with plastic furniture but the quality of the material is much higher than other synthetic chairs that I’ve looked at, and I’m hoping that it lasts many years.

These are sooooo much better than the cheap HD ones every buys and breaks. These really are built to last a loooooong time! Very heavy to move around though…which speaks to the quality of the plastic/resin material used.

These are nice. Not as solid as others I have purchased but still pretty heavy. I would not advise for commercial use. Even though I measured they still feel smaller than expected. I got the adjustable version but I would recommend the non adjustable version for more stability and less scratches on the deck. Delivery was insanely fast. Box is pretty small. Assembly took about half hour per chair.
