Farmhouse Black Dresser – 5 Draws
I purchased & shipped this dresser to my disabled Vet brother for his new appartment.It was a hit! He had a full house of furniture in a paid NYC storage unit but it had been raided by whomever.He lost most everything & needed a dresser, bed, nite stands, lighting, towels, bath accessories, kitchen appliance, etc.So, I went shopping & Amazon delivered.The only drawback was not having a reputable handy service link like the big retailer to assemble it.This is a tall chest of draws with 5 draws.He has the use of 1 hand & 1 leg. So, he has difficulty bending. The hardware must be sturdy enough for him to open the draws.This is the perfect dresser because it has tilt protection hardware & stabilizers.So, even if all the draws are loaded & open, it won’t fall on him. The draws are equipped with slide bars so they won’t accidentally slid out & fall on him, as well.Also, the look is easy to match with the other pieces I found on Amazon. Good thing he chose black.I think the real charm is the farmhouse look & texture. It adds elegance.I haven’t seen all the pieces but he is delighted & proud to invite guests to his new bachelor pad. He has a new attitude & boost of confidence.

These are great dressers! We bought 2 and have only had a chance to put the 1st one together, but I imagine the 2nd will be just as great. Super simple instructions and easy to put together. Sturdy and looks great! Highly recommend

Overall it is okay. It took 5 hours and 15 minutes to assemble by myself. The directions suggest using a drill. I would not do that because it is very easy to over tighten the screws and bolts. The entire thing is made out of particle board. The bottoms of the drawers are cardboard and the back is cardboard. If you over tighten the particle board will split. It is easy to chip as well. The drawers are not nearly as deep as you might think because the fronts of the drawers are a couple in higher than the actual drawer. It looks good once it is assembled, but it takes a long time to assemble. It is relatively cheap material and for an extra couple hundred dollars I could have bought something at a furniture store that would have been a little more quality and save myself 5 hours. The hardware that comes with it is a plain black metal hardware. It looks fine to me and worked good. I have read reviews where people are not happy with it but it looks exactly like the picture and it is metal.
