I assembled this desk solo in about 2 hours using my Milwaukee battery-powered screwdriver to speed things up. The instructions were surprisingly helpful, and I appreciated that every part was clearly labeled with numbers and letters—it made the process much smoother. All the holes lined up well, and the pieces fit together without frustration.The desk is made of MDF, not real wood, which is exactly what I wanted for this space. That said, if you’re expecting solid wood, take note—this isn’t it. I ordered the natural wood finish, and it’s really pretty in person. It looks great in a lightly used room just off our kitchen, where I wanted something neutral, simple, and functional.One small hiccup: I had trouble getting the screws on the lower back portion of the desk to sit flush. I didn’t want to force it and risk damaging the MDF, so I left it as-is for now. It’s still quite sturdy overall.I love the three drawers for extra storage, and the size is perfect for my cross-cross chair (also from MS). I can easily roll between tasks, and I think this will be a great workspace for what I need. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, attractive desk that doesn’t try to be more than it is. I love Martha Stewart home and this desk is a good purchase.

Great looking desk! It took about 2 hrs to put together and assembly was not too bad. It’s an adequate size, but could be bigger. It has nice lines and it’s very sturdy.

Terrible quality, predrilled holes missing, would rather build 500 ikea desks than build this desk again. Would not buy again, not worth the money.

Great desk
It is well-made and very sturdy. Although it was hard to put together, you need at least two people to help, but the color is nice and moving. It will need two people as well. The drawers don’t go back in as you would think they would; they get stuck. I’m unsure if it’s from a lack of oil or if that’s how they’re supposed to be. The price is on the little high side. Overall, it is excellent quality and functional.

Plan for a long installation but resulting desk is very nice
The instructions tell you to expect to spend 2 hours to assemble this desk. They are not wrong. It took 2 people less than 2 hours but it was definitely not a quick easy assembly— because there are many parts, many holes, screws, nubs, and sometimes it was really good to have an extra set of hands when putting the larger pieces together. One thing I particularly like is how the drawers open and close. They do not slide or fling open/shut. The very large box came with extra protective pieces of wood at the top and bottom to prevent damage to the desk itself—which was good because that extra piece of wood absorbed any manhandling.
