Under desk pull-out keyboard tray – all metal sturdy construction
When I unboxed this slide-out keyboard tray, I was very impressed by the quality. I’ll talk about the pros and cons below.PROS* High quality all metal construction of the panels and clamps.* High quality full extension metal slides that are usually found in cabinet drawers. They slide smoothly and can be retracted all the way to the back to snap lock. * The tray can be clamped to most table tops or desks. They are easy to clamp and remove without any need to drill in order to mount.* 26″ wide tray provides ample room for both keyboard and mouse for me.* If you are in dire need to free up space on the table, this tray is an easy and quick extension. It can also be used to store stationery and stuff to declutter your desktop.CONS* Written instructions are unclear and hard to follow. The needed corresponding numbers to different parts are missing. Fortunately, photos in the listing explain everything. A picture is worth a thousand words.* It was a challenge to put the screws in. These screws are very short. I couldn’t get a good grip of them while trying to align the holes. Eventually, I used an awl to help alignment and the assembly became quite easy.* Since there is no support at the back end of the rail (drawer slide), the tray doesn’t feel very stable when one types. * For the same reason above, when one pulls out the tray, it doesn’t come out straight / parallel because the back end is in suspension.

Not fit for human assembly!!! Tiny screws are painful!!!😖
These TINY screws are a pain in the KNECK to get through the holes! My hands hurt and my patience is running thin. About ready to return it!!!! Don’t bother if you do not have a magnetic screwdriver to hold the screws upright!!! You will spend at least 10-15 minutes trying to get them screwed in (if not longer). People with shaky hands….just look for something else.

Some holes not theaded thru completely
Front nor back plate holes were not threaded completely thru . Some screws would only start but couldn’t go thru completely

Cheap trash hardware makes assembly impossible
This product is garbage. The screws don’t fit well, and it’s basically impossible to screw them in without stripping them. The instructions are extremely lacking. Will return immediately, if I can even disassemble it

Great Idea, poor design
I got this with high hopes because I needed a new tray for my keyboard. To start, The tray was easy to install. The size is big enough for an ergonomic split keyboard and a mouse (with a small mouse pad). The tray is made with a strong metal. The tray locks into the closed position, but NOT the open (pulled out) position. That is about the best I can say for this tray.Some of the issues with the tray are as follows:It was a pain in the bum to put together. Instead of one solid tray, the tray is actually split into two pieces that you have to put together. This was the most annoying part because of how the holes had to line up and the teeny tiny screws they used to connect them. In addition, since the tray does not lock in the pulled out position, when you are trying to type, you have to chase the keyboard or constantly have to readjust the tray. When you are pulling the tray out or readjusting it, the tray can and will twist a little, which causes a problem with the brackets. The twisting will “walk” the tray down your desk (side to side) or it will wiggle the brackets loose and off the desk. I have tried tightening the brackets on with as much force as I could get with my pipe wrench (because hand tightening wasn’t working) and it still manages to wiggle off. I have also noticed that when I use the keyboard a lot with putting pressure on and off the tray, it will wiggle the brackets off as well. The price is expected, as you get what you pay for.

This is a great under desk roll out keyboard tray
So this is a great roll out keyboard tray. Eclipse in nicely and is very sturdy. I’m using it for my effect pedal board for my studio setup. It works great rolls very smoothly and has really strong well built clips to anchor onto the desk. I can understand why people were having problems putting the screws in if they were installing it upside down you have to carefully look at the side you’re putting the screws into they have a small cup indentation that allows the screw to sit flush. The directions aren’t very clear on this so I can see how people would try to do this with it upside down on the flat surface and the screw won’t reach. Once you figure it out it is really not that hard to put together and the screws are not smaller than eyeglass screws but they are small screws so you may want to use a magnetized bit this will make it very easy. This is a really well made product at this price point and I’m very happy.
