I LOVE this rug. Im using it over preexisting carpet in a low traffic area (my room). It’s super soft and cozy, rolls out and lays thick and flat (can’t see through it). The backing is similar to the backing on a bathroom mat, but higher quality. It was affordable for me, didn’t want anything expensive, just something practical, economical, nice to look at, nice feel, quick delivery, and lightweight. This fit the bill. Mine is in beige, the 8 foot one and it is true to size. Id say go for it if you can get it cheap (mine was about $40 at the time of writing on sale, you’re renting, in a dorm, cool with it being a bit slippery, like stuff that has a pleasant skin feel, and don’t want the hassle of a heavy rug. The kids love chilling on this carpet too because it’s very soft and they can scoot around on it easily.

It laid flat after leaving it overnight.No smell to it.Easy to lay down for the big size.Looks great.Robot vacuum has no trouble on it.The 1 photo was after I vacuumed it (weird pattern). Nice color, not thick
This is a very soft rug, and as others have stated it is thin. I have it on top of another carpet, so it feels much softer. I would recommend getting a pad for underneath it or layering it on top of another carpet. For the price, it was perfect for my intended use. Obviously, at this price point, you can’t expect a thick, luxurious rug – but it does look nice.

Soooo soft
I have these rugs in every room ! Literally ! I LOVE this freakin rug ! It is sooooo soft and comfortable! Seriously and the color is so bold, not like that off black ! Perfect size for under the bottom of my bed and in front of my couches ! Kids love the one in their room too. Be careful though because it does collect lint relatively quick and it will get stuck under the fur but over all , gets the job done

****UPDATE AFTER A FEW A MONTH.Okay so now that it’s been a while in real world living I’ve found a major flaw. This carpet can easily and strangely get debris trapped in it that takes scissors or a strong grip to rip out. Specifically I allow my dog to chew his pork femur bones on my carpet and he gets tiny and not so tiny bone fragments spread around and the normal carpet that this carpet replaced never had any issues and I could just pick up the big fragments and vacuum the little ones. With this carpet its like trying to pull sharp crumbs out of my afro and bionic fleas off of my cats ass. So I took two stars off to make it 3 stars because that’s just too much of a strange flaw that I’ve never encountered in the 30 or so throw rugs and carpets that I’ve purchased and grew up with.ORIGINAL*** REVIEWIt’s not like a traditional rug. First off it’s sort of like a bath rug in that it’s backing allows for it to be easily folded to reduce it size. Basically it doesn’t have the traditional carpet/rug backing that’s stiff enough to roll up the carpet and set it in a corner horizontally without it flopping over. My 8×10 came folded in a box the size off a back pack and was easily spread out with no creases after I smoothed it out all within 10 minutes. It’s a very unique material and it’s extremely soft. You have to actually wait until you see it and feel it to understand the difference between it, a traditional rug and a bathroom rug. I actually think it’s a tremendous value but some reviewers weren’t pleased. It’s something that would be excellent for a kids bedroom with hardwood floors due to it’s low price point and a child’s tendency to reduce the value of a more expensive rug by a kid just being a kid if you know what I mean. I personally have mine in my living room and I’m happy with it.

Be Patient With This Rug
We received this rug within a few days after ordering but weren’t ready to lay it out in the room right away, so we left it in the packaging for several more days before opening.When we were ready to put the rug in place, I was amazed at the softness! Delightful! However, we unrolled it to lay it out on the floor, and it was, well, WONKY. Weirdly shaped, uneven, wouldn’t lay flat, just looked terrible on the floor, especially on one side (the part that had been most tightly wound in the box). I almost rolled it back up to return it, but thought there was no way I would be able to fold/roll and stuff it back in the shipping box. So I was just going to chalk it up to an unfortunate purchase. However, every couple of days, it seemed that the rug was “relaxing” a little more, and started looking better. It now looks good on the floor in our room. And that softness…it is a treat to our bare feet!
