Update 6.17.24 I’ve been using this mattress for about a year now and sleeping really well on it. I think changing mattresses made it a week-long transition, but it is so comfortable and so much cooler than a total memory foam mattress. I gave it one more star, although I hesitated because it is so heavy that getting corners up to change sheets can take a bit of work. I will probably replace the mattress in my guest room with this same mattress.This mattress is very comfortable to lie on. It’s a little tall with my bedframe and box springs to sit on, but I am short. The edge supports me just fine, but I am 5’1 and 120lbs.There has been absolutely no odor to this mattress, from the beginning. I had prepared to leave the bedroom French doors to the outside open for a few days and sleep in the guest room, but I could have slept on it the first night. I didn’t because I was too lazy to make it.I find this mattress firm, and certainly more firm than my two year old memory foam mattress. However, despite the comfort and firmness, I am having trouble, even a week later, sleeping through the night. Since I am normally a heavy sleeper, I wonder if it is just changing mattresses????The mattress was fully expanded (I measured) within an hour. I was not prepared for how quickly it would expand, and at 94lbs (according to the box), I would have waited for my husband to get home had I known how difficult managing the size and weight would be. This is not a criticism at all, just a warning that with both the bulk and the weight, it became unmanageable for me. I should have thought it out better.I feel like the quality of the mattress is quite good, especially quality for the price. I like the hybrid better than the memory foam I bought two years ago. I feel much cooler in this bed. Yeah!!!

If you’re looking for a truly firm mattress, read this.
This seems to be a really good mattress and you can’t beat the price. That being said, I like a firm mattress and have always used a traditional spring mattress for that reason. The trendy memory foam and gel mattresses on the market today actually make me nauseous (I think maybe related to motion sickness), so I stayed away from them in my search. However, one day I went to a mattress store to try out different varieties and discovered the hybrid. I thought this was a great middle ground to a traditional spring mattress which I feel have become harder to find, and the latest in gel and memory foam mattresses. So when I saw this hybrid on Amazon with great reviews and an even better price tag, I decided to give it a try. When it first arrived, I was very happy. The mattress was beautiful and the quality seemed high. It felt firm and I had pleasant sleep on it. I was thrilled! As time went on, I realized that i couldn’t do certain things on it, like sit and read a book or sit on it and type on my computer, all things i occasionally like doing from the comfort of my bed. The mattress was just too soft for that. This is definitely a bed just for sleeping. You get in, you get out. This might sound obvious or a silly reason for not liking a mattress, but I encourage you to think about all the ways you use your bed. Do you like to sit on it and read? Work? Talk on the phone? Get dressed? Do you live in a studio apartment and this is the main piece of seating in the room? Really consider the role your bed plays in your space. If you’re doing anything more than sleeping on this mattress, know that it may be too soft. If you are looking for a truly firm mattress, I mean truly firm, this may not be the mattress for you. Would I buy it over again for my purposes? No. Would I recommend it as a good mattress for someone just looking for a good mattress? Yes. Whatever you decide, good luck in your search!
