Good cheap bookcase
There’s nothing fancy about this bookshelf, which is why it is so inexpensive. However, for what it is, it’s very good. Very easy to assemble also. I feel like with this cheap MDF furniture, sometimes you get stuff that is a little brooker or whatever. But this isn’t; stands straight up. Good buy.

Putting together book cases
These are nicely made and actually stayed together when I stood them up. But you will need to follow pictorial only instructions. Read several times because it is too easy to with their diagrams to mess up. Additionally these are not full size book cases. Not quite wide enough although they did fit my shorter width wall.

Veteran Ikea assembler here. I really struggled with this shelf and sent it back
Poor quality. The shelf is really two smaller shelves stuck on top of each other. You have to assemble each half separately and then stack them on top of each other. But the problem is, the holes do not match from the bottom of the top shelf and where it should connect to the bottom shelf. Also, the sides of the bottom shelf should have the same holes, but they did not. Missing a wooden peg, too.The shelf had very bad labeling. Tiny stickers of 1,2,3, etc., but no indication as to which end of 1 should fit which end of 3, for example. When you have two seemingly identical half shelves but they have minute differences, instructions should be very clear to help you figure how what should be connected to what.Literally took me a couple of hours to try to assemble it. In the end I gave up, called Amazon, and was issued a refund. I sent the second shelf I had purchased back to Amazon as well. (This one I didn’t even attempt to open.)I’m a veteran Ikea furniture assembler… I’ve owned various furniture pieces for the past two decades. I know this process is never smooth, but I still expect some basic quality for the money. This shelf was a let down. Maybe I got a lemon? I want to give the producer the benefit of the doubt… Wish it was better for their sake and mine.

The bookcases arrived 3 days early and they were very easy to put together. I put four of them together in a course of three hours and they look great

The Holes Didn’t Align
I don’t ever like writing an unfavorable review, but this time I felt it necessary. The bookcase is absolutely beautiful, and not too difficult to assemble, “BUT” once I had the two different sections ready to connect together, I found that the holes for the two units were not properly aligned, and the top unit was about an inch off from the bottom section. I had to figure out where to drill new holes and got a few chips in the process, but all in all it’s okay now that I’ve fixed it as best I can. I also bought a couple of small L shaped brackets to secure to the back to make sure the pieces stayed together. The seller did say in the listing that it could be returned for a refund, but it’s a very heavy piece for me to try to return being I am a 75 year old woman. If the holes had been properly aligned, I would have given it a five, because it is a beautiful piece. I don’t know if my bookcase issue was just a fluke or if it’s something that other people are having the same problem.
