Easy Assembly, Excellent Quality, Wonderful design.
I purchased these 2-chairs along with a matching 42-inch round “kitchenette” table, all from the Winsome Wood folks. The table has not yet arrived. I held off buying 4-chairs for a couple of reasons: First, I was not sure if the quality of the table or chairs warranted getting 4-chairs. Second, until I see the table, which has not yet arrived, I won’t know if I can comfortably fit them all in my kitchen area. The chairs are all solid wood – no veneers – no plywood. The back of the chairs is a smart design, where by the legs are integrated into the back. Makes the chairs more sturdy. There are gliders already placed in the feet of the chairs. There are several supporting side-braces.A few words of advice for assembly: The instructions are mostly pictorial in nature, obviously trying to accomplish with “pictures” rather than 1000-words. They mostly met their goal. I figured it out. Here is what I did that made it easier – which is not clear from the drawings: Each brass bolt, requires a split washer, then a flat washer. Then you put the long, medium, or short bolt into the appropriate hole.If you put all the split washers on their bolts, then the flat washers, the diagrams become far easier to understand.Next, I GLUED the holes and dowels. It is NOT called for, but; I did it anyway. I also put some glue on the corners where the front legs meet the seat of the chair. You don’t need a LOT. A thin layer on each “side” where they will meet, or in the hole, and on the end of the supporting dowel. I applied these thin layers of wood glue using q-tips.You can tighten the 6-bolts that hold the seat to the back legs and back of the chairs “right away”. Do not over tighten them – they are BRASS. That means they are soft. A Snug tighten is all you need at first. When putting the the other bolts in for the front legs, be sure to ONLY tighten them by hand w/o the hex key wrench, and leave, literally, some “wiggle” room. You’ll need this to get the supporting dowels in correctly.I recommend you put the long end of the hex-key wrenches into the bolts and hold onto the short ends. It will help you avoid over tightening. And, when you hear the wood “CREEK”, or the bolt suddenly gets HARD TO TURN, at the end of a turn, stop! Turn it maybe 1/4-to-1/2-turn more, and then you’re done. When ALL the bolts are tight, and the chair seems fully assembled, then take the wrench to each bolt once more, to make sure they are all “creek” tight. Finally, using a piece of duct tape, I taped one of the wrenches under the seat of one of the chairs, for future need for re-tightening – if it is ever needed. If the table is as well designed, and of the same quality, my opinion is, for the money, you cannot go wrong. I got the table, and 2-chairs, from PRIME, for $250-including all taxes and shipping. A perfect example of superior Amazon Prime quality products.

Best you can get for the money…
These chairs are pretty boss…PROs:- Made in Malaysia, NOT China… what this means is that you are getting quality (as far as what Americans are used to these days)- The quality shows right out of the box.. well packaged, clear instructions, simple deisgn- The finish is real wood, not a thin veneer, floor bumpers are already installed- Assembly is easy- The look is fantastic, geniune and warm — not fake looking or cheap looking- QC is great, we got 6 chairs, all were the same an in spec.. except for one which has one unseen support on the underside as a darker colour.. no big deal, wont be seen anyway…PRO-TIPS:- Use a power drill/driver/impact with an allen-head bit to drive all the screws faster and effortlessley… doing this by hand would be tedious otherwise… its 2016, you can afford a cheap electric drill/driver… get one..- Have a helper layout the parts and fasteners to hand them to you when you need themBottom line:You really can’t knock these chairs.. they came shipped on time, they surprisingly were not made in China, the quality proves this claim, they are sturdy, QC is tight, and they look genuine (they are) — sure you can get better looking seats, but the value of these are simply spot-on… get you some!

Perfect chairs except for that one goofy bolt!
I am always worried about buying furniture online without being able to physically see it. I have purchased furniture from Amazon before and it was fine. Some of the reviews on these chairs mentioned that they received missing pieces or broken/wrong parts. These wood chairs were the design and color I was looking for so I decided to risk it. I purchased 2 of these chairs. One out of the two chairs I got had a wrong screw. I was supposed get 4 long bolts that attach the legs to the seat. I got 3 long bolts and one extra short bolt. Although not recommended by the manufacturer, I was able to use the short bolt in its place and not use the washer for it to fit into the connection.. I could have called customer service, but I did not want to hassle with it. I’ve used the chair often and it still holds up just fine. They are a beautiful chestnut finish. The color matches in the photo. The seat is slightly concave to nestle your butt cheeks and yet doesn’t cut off the circulation to your legs. The seat is a little wider at the leg end vs the back support end so you don’t feel like you have square corners jabbing the bottom of your thighs. I was worried about them scratching my laminate floor, but the legs have little casters on the bottom to keep them from damaging the floor. The ladder back is comfortable as well. The vertical back slightly angles away from you and the horizontal pieces are slightly curved so you don’t have to have perfect posture to feel comfortable sitting in it. The selling feature for me was the base of the back of the chair. If I sit in a wood wood chair with vertical slats, I tend to smoosh the bad part of my lower back into a wood piece that holds up the slats. This chair does not have that design! They have a weight to them. Heavy enough for sturdiness, but not light enough to feel cheaply made and easily breakable. Even though they feel durable, I do not recommend standing on these chairs. They were evenly built and do not rock due to bad measurements. Assembly was extremely easy and instructions were clear. Yes, they did have a slight chemical smell, but I have never had brand new furniture from a warehouse be odorless. If it didn’t have that smell, I would be concerned that it was used instead of new. Standard chair pads for the seat fit great on them, except the back is kind of narrow and the seat ties are spaced too far to tie them to the chair. Even though the pads are not tied on, they still stay in place for the most part. I am really happy with my purchase. If I were to complete the seating from 2 to 4 chairs, I would buy them if I had the space. They weren’t too expense for nice wood chairs for the dining room. Besides the one wrong bolt, I would have rated these 5 out of 5.

Great, sturdy chairs – assembly is straight forward except the screws didn’t go in all the way. My floors are a bit uneven so I pried the bumpers out of the legs and replaced with Shepherd Swivel glides (I pre-drilled before nailing in)

Las sillas están bien hechas, faciles de armar y se ven resistentes.El color es un poco más rojizo, como el de las fotos de la descripción de producto, pero las voy a pintar así que no me afectó en nada.En general muy buen producto.

Excellent, solid kitchen chairs at a reasonable price. Easy to assemble. As another reviewer noted, it helps to have a rubber mallet handy, and I highly recommend assembling them with glue, although it is not required. I used Gorilla construction adhesive, rather than wood glue, as it fills gaps better and is easy to clean up squeeze-out with a damp rag. I also changed the floor bumpers on the legs – they are made of hard plastic, and I was concerned they might mark hardwood floors. It was easy to remove them and replace them with SuperSlider pads. Good looking, solid chairs.

    De muy buen material

I highly recommend a rubber mallet for getting the rails in as well as a power drill for putting the screws in. Nice and sturdy. Mine were quite a bit dusty inside the packaging which is fine. A bit if an odor of the stain but went away quickly.
