Good buy!
This is a striking addition to my home, and I was pleased with how easy it was to put together. It took a while though, because it has a lot of parts. But the instructions were clear and the hardware was decent quality, as well as the composite wood. The backing was not the typical cardboard you find on many assemble-yourself pieces, it is a bit more robust. I did accidentally break off a small corner of the backing, but it was in an area that is unseen. Just be careful with that part during assembly. An additional person would be helpful, but not required. I am a small female, and I had no issues setting it all up myself. I would also recommend an electric screwdriver (not a drill) because my hands got tired after a while because there are so many screws. I added my own LED lighting to the shelves and I get compliments on it whenever anyone visits.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Looked like a nice bookcase. Different, modern aesthetic. This was BRUTAL to put together however. Took me about 3 hours and a lot of floor space to spread out all the pieces. A lot of Cams, small dowels and screws. I really like it, but be ready for a marathon to assemble. It’s heavy. You’ll probably needs some help getting it into the house and to the spot you want to put it at.

Beautiful bookcase
I bought 2 of these. They are beautiful and basically an IKEA bookshelf so very sturdy and well built. The screwdriver provided works but is hard to use. My 4 stars is because one of the 2 bookshelf cake scratched and had part of the veneer peeling otherwise beautiful and I expect them to last for a while.

Be patient and use some thought and you’ll do fine
To start. As others have said. This takes a while to build. I started mine maybe around 4:55pm and finished around 9.That said. Instructions were fine. Some parts required me to stare at the pictures more than once but I got it. The final part with the hourglass pieces is a pain. They want you to use the pegs but the pegs dont allow you to Line up the lock screws. The trick is to slightly angle out the piece above it, slide the pegs in then back it into the shelf. Peice by peice. Just slightly angle back the piece above it and it’ll all fit together.Thing is beautiful

Quality, finish defects and very long time to assemble
First, it took 4 hours to build this which is way too long. Second, the instructions were incomplete in some places and absolutely wrong in others. Third, there are some things that are frankly impossible to do according to the laws of physics – connecting things in multiple places at the same time when those connections are in two different (90 degrees) directions. Fourth, the finish isn’t good. There are tons of the metal screw connectors showing. Most times, they supply some sort of sticker to cover these to help blend in. This doesn’t and you see all these screws – and there are tons of them. Highly do not recommend this which is a shame because it is a visually interesting piece which is why I bought it in the first place. I bought two, but will be returning the second one because I cannot go through that process again.

It looks good but….
Came with a poorly disguised chip in one of the panels. I find it more galling that someone saw the chip and just colored it over instead of discarding it or whatever and instead sold it to me for the full price. It also isn’t very sturdy but quite wobbly and definitely needs to be mounted to the wall if you have kids.

Impressive wood look on small fake wood budget!
It is very well put together! Instructions are easy to follow. Should never have issues with falling apart under the weight of books. Ideal engineered wood design that is very appealing and easy to match to other room decor. I Loved it so much I am planning to add it to each of my exam rooms at the office.

Hard to build but worth it
It’s hard to build, I watched the video and looked at the directions. It still took me 4.5 hours per bookshelf. But I do love the way it looks and it was worth the effort.

Bought one to make sure we were happy with it, it did take forever to put together, but it’s good quality. We liked the modern spin on a traditional bookcase. We did end up purchasing a second unit. Very pleased with the end result.
