Great desk – just what I wanted.It is sturdy, well-designed, and has a large surface area, which I needed. The majority of reasonably inexpensive desks are too narrow for my purposes. This one is big enough for my computer gear AND a cat bed in the corner.It has a lovely shabby chic look and a clever paint job that makes it look like you found it in an antique store. It is elegant but simple, and it looks awesome in my tiny cabin, matching the wood walls and white trim beautifully.The top is manufactured wood, looks real, but is actually really tough material pretending to be wood. My cat and I both would scratch it right away if it were possible, but it is not – yay. If a thing can be scratched, my cat and I will immediately do so.The desk has a faux drawer for the keyboard and a real drawer, and it has two UBS and two outlet interfaces at the back of the top, which is very handy. I plan to purchase some inexpensive adhesive cord organizers to gather the excess cordage at the back to make them totally disappear from view.Importantly to me, the desk is long (cat bed) and also deep – room to loll against the desk. I enjoy lolling while using the computer and shopped for a deep desk for just that reason.Finally, it was shipped with Amazon’s usual military precision and professional expertise and was left right outside my deck door, which involved carrying it up a short flight of stairs. Thank you for your perfect delivery. It is one of the things that keeps me coming back to Amazon.

Beautiful and substantial
I moved from a house with built in shelves to no built-ins, and I was a loss as to how I was going to display my treasures. I ended up buying two of these. They arrived in separate boxes and required assembly. They are quite heavy!The delivery service did not leave them at the door. They dropped them3 or 4 feet below the porch in front of my vehicle in the driveway. Between my husband and I, we could not even get them into the house with a dolly. Had to call a neighbor to get them into the house.Assembly took two peopleand it was fairly uncomplicated, but again these shelves are substantial heavy! They look really great!!

Beautiful but HEAVY
This is a great desk! It’s a lot prettier than others I found and I love the lift feature for when I’m tired of sitting. Assembly itself was pretty simple and didn’t take very long.My one qualm with this product is that it weighs a million pounds. It probably took me 30 minutes to get it inside and to the room I was putting it in. When I was putting on the legs, the whole desk ended up falling over and actually put a fist size hole in the wall 🙂 Granted, I was being impatient and should’ve just waited for help. Just make sure that if you have it standing up longways, you have someone holding the desk when the plastic is cut off of the center because that’s why mine ended up falling over. To assemble two of the legs, you need the lift to come up so you can screw in the legs. When the plastic was cut, the whole desk fell. All in all, don’t try to assemble or lift this by yourself unless you’re reallyyyy confident that you could catch it if it started to fall.Gorgeous, sturdy, large desk but again, heavy as hell.

Beautiful if it didn’t arrive severely damaged – Amazon and Ashely offer no help
This desk would be beautiful if only it didn’t arrive severely damaged. The corner was bashed up and two of the legs were broken. I reached out to Ashley furniture about replacement or refund and they said it would need to go through Amazon but I could just order replacement legs at my cost if I would like to. I contacted Amazon and they said that they would give me a refund if I package it up and take it to a UPS store, or I could package it up and have UPS pick it up from here. This thing weighs 100 pounds I cannot lift it to wrap bubble wrap around it and put it in a box! While the desk is beautiful, (should it arrive to you intact) don’t expect Ashley or Amazon to help you if it does not.

Fantastic desk! The quality far exceeded my expectations. The colours are true to the pictures. The mechanism for lift is easy to use. I got the item on sale which made me even happier. And delivery was very good.
