Great budget drawer; easy-medium assembly
This is a great looking cabinet and it is perfect for a small office area. It was super easy to build, the instructions were very clear (except for the last few steps, but I figured it out). I suggest that you lay out all the parts and make sure you have everything before you start– everything is labeled with step number which is very helpful. I did not have any issues with alignment of pieces. For a budget piece it works great. My only qualm is I cannot figure out how to remove the drawer fully now that I have assembled it. It slides in and out fine, but cannot pull it out (like if something falls behind it)– this is really my only issue!

Sturdy. Not a cheap piece of furniture.
The cabinet is sturdy and well constructed. It’s heavy. The instructions were easy, and they put the hardware in individual bags marked “step 1”, “step 2”, etc. My cabinet looks great in my office. The only gripe that I have is that the hanger bars are plastic and they move too easily.

Good file cabinet
It was very hard to put together. I hired two guys who assemble pieces of furniture together and they charged me $150. to put it together because it was so difficult. That said, I like the assembled file cabinet very much. It is sturdy and works well.

Your labor will pay off.
This file cabinet is well worth the money. You are not getting solid wood, but you are not paying for solid wood. What you do get in a booklet with step by step instructions. A step on each page and a plastic bag marked for that step with the hardware needed for that step. There is no text just pictures. The pieces for each step are marked with big letters.Put the pieces in the step in front of you. Inspect the picture, and put the pieces for that step where the picture calls for it. Go to the next page and picture , and the part, and the bag with the hardware and complete that step. Before you know it, you have a nice file cabinet that looks like wood. NO POWER TOOLS! Use a good hand philips screwdriver with a ratchet and some good wood glue and your all set for a nice afternoon of puttering. I enjoyed it and I would give it more stars.

Need at least 2 hours to assemble
It’s a good file cabinet, but unfortunately, it took over 2 hours to assemble. I wish that at the time of ordering it would have stated it’s not a one-to-three operation to set up! I do like the cherry wood but unfortunately only the top drawer locks which make no sense. Still a nice file cabinet, sturdy, heavy with nothing in it, unfortunately it is not easy to move and if full, not moving.

Best For Legal Files
The assembly, while long, is straightforward. A word of caution, though. One of the stickers (used to identify the assembly step) was misplaced and partially on the contact paper wood. When I removed it, the contact paper came of, too. In retrospect I should have just left it on since it was on the bottom of the drawer.The 8.5 by 11 inch file folders go sideways in the drawer. Initially this didn’t matter. But removing file folders and placing pages in folders is challenging because the drawer just doesn’t come out enough.
